Traditional Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a philosophy of life and an approach to living. It is the belief in living a lifestyle as close to nature as possible. This includes:

  • Drinking pure, clean water
  • Eating an abundance of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and other food products derived from natural sources only
  • Breathing fresh, clean air
  • Moving the body regularly in natural ways
  • Spending time in a healthy environment
  • Caring for the body in a wholesome, natural way, using natural body care products
  • Expressing emotions in a supportive and healthy way
  • Nurturing and supporting a spiritual belief system

Herbs

Herbs are plants. They are the highest quality foods known to man. They contain vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and trace elements. It is believed that herbs were put on the earth to maintain and restore our health. Herbs are whole and balanced thus providing nutrition for our body to become whole and balanced. Herbs are able to get to the cause of health problems and not just the symptoms. There are very few, if any, side effects of using herbs. Herbs are foods. Some people experience a “healing crisis” when first beginning herbs. A healing crisis may include nausea, diarrhea, headaches, etc. This is a sign that the body is detoxifying to bring the body back to a healthier state.

Vitamins and Minerals

Vitamins and mineral supplements provide the body with the nutrients that our foods may not offer. If we do not get enough vitamins and minerals it can affect us mentally and physically. The body can not make vitamins and minerals so we must get them from our foods or supplements. Many of the vitamins and other nutrients have been depleted from the food people eat in today’s society. The nutrients are either killed from pesticides, insecticides and fertilizers that pollute our food or from the foods being processed. So taking a vitamin and mineral supplement is very important.

All vitamins, minerals and herbs are not created equal. The supplements offered at Simply Health are all high-quality products which start from the finest raw materials available. The Nature’s Sunshine product line is one of the best in the world. They are committed to leading the industry in product testing and overall product quality.

Stress Reduction

High daily stress levels put constant strain on the body’s nervous system and can contribute to chronic disease. With the fast-paced lifestyle in today’s society, it is very important to practice daily techniques to reduce stress and anxiety. Ways to reduce stress include: deep breathing, meditation, yoga, taking a hot bath (hydrotherapy), getting enough sleep, taking nature walks, and exercise.
